Explosion is an amazing participatory process, which has inspired thousands
of event goers from Womad International World Music Festival to CPSI the
worlds largest Creativity Conference, hosted in the USA.
There are 2 ways it can happen....
Vocal Happening
Imagine the sound of up to 5,000 people singing together.
It works in the same format as a performance, with percussionists on stage
alongside the facilitator who leads the whole of the audience to create
a huge upbeat vocal sound in the shortest space of time.
Within minutes world harmonies are layered up with an undercurrent of strong, evocative rhythms, the event lasts between 45 minutes and an hour and a half and works between 200 - 5000 participants. The infectious nature of the experience, and the music makes it suitable for non-singers and musicians alike to create a real surge of energy.
Mass Performance
Juliet has used mass Performance in many community projects, festivals and conferences all over Europe, USA and the UK.
A powerful tool in bringing together diverse groups in exciting collaborations to produce a final staged performance accompanied by professional percussionists as part of your event. Between two and four rehearsals are normally required, and other musical accompaniment egg a brass or string section can be added. The project will be tailored to suit each individual group and situation.
Vocal Explosion works well in festival and conference situations, as it is a chance for attendees to create a wonderful sound in the shortest space of time. The method used by Vocal Explosion makes it totally accessible to everyone. The format is designed to be wholly inclusive and can be used. Internationally.
